Description: A very elegant English Antique George III solid sterling silver one pint tankard, of a baluster form, with a round bellied shaped body which was later embossed with flowers, scrolls, patterns and a cartouche which was engraved with a monogram. Fitted with a scroll shaped handle with a protruding acanthus leaf thumb piece and standing on a circular shaped pedestal base with a patterned edge border and the interior beautifully gilt lined. Comes with an original Morocco leather travelling case with a velvet lined interior. The body was decorated to the highest of quality, with an excellent thick gauge to the body and weighs an impressive 331 grams. A very rare example, a gorgeous example which is ready to be added to anyones collection. A very fine and very rare clean example.

Condition report: Excellent clean condition for its 258 years of age with no dents, dings, holes, splits or repairs. The embossed decoration to the exterior is in beautiful condition with no wear or any issues. The top and bottom rims are perfectly in shape and stands well on display with no wobble. The handle is not pushed in or any splits to the interior from a pushed in handle. The scroll shaped handle is in excellent condition with no repairs or damage. The gilt lined interior is in excellent unworn condition with no stains or marks. The cartouche is engraved with a monogram and the underneath of the base is engraved with later presentation inscription. Holds liquids perfectly well with no leaks or holes. The English solid sterling silver hallmarks to the underneath of the base are in crisp very readable condition with no rubbing or wear issues. The Morocco leather case is in excellent unworn condition to both interior and exterior. Opens and closes perfectly well with no issues. Overall a very impressive and very rare example, of the highest quality in splendid condition which is ready to be added to your collection. The finest of quality.
