This combo has been the basis of my own system several times over the years - I keep going back to it! 

The pairing comprises of the very flexible Kolektor Pre-Amplifier which has a nice clear design and can be controlled / programmed via the unit or the remote control - supplied. 

The Kolektor has a number of line level inputs - but is also configured in this case to facilitate a phono input for moving magnet cartridge equipped turntables. 

One of Linn's more reliable units, the Kolektor is a very capable pre-amplifier that compliments the LK140 supplied very well.

The LK140 in this listing, is the later version with the longitudinal vents - which featured improved circuitry and power supply as well as the very useful and eco friendly 'sleep' function - that means the amplifier only fully operates when it senses a signal and powers back down when no signal is present after a few minutes. 

From the LK140, you can run up to 2 pairs of speakers - or bi-wire one pair of speakers from the power amplifier - and the amplifier puts out 70 watts per channel (into 8 ohms) which believe me is enough for all but the largest of rooms.

The photos represent the unit's condition very well and the cases are generally in good condition for a 20 odd year old unit - the only minor mark is a slight ding on one corner of the power amp, which in situ is hardly noticeable.

There's a fair bit of weight between these two and so, if you can, collection is preferred but I will post.
