Andy Warhol Rare Vintage 1972 Original Heat Poster

This vintage, original poster produced in 1972 for the Andy Warhol film Heat comes directly from the artist’s estate. The film tells the story of an unemployed former child star who supports himself as a hustler. Warhol obsessively captured moments of his life, documenting everything from people, places and things, and even himself. Starting in 1963, film became a fixture of Warhol's prolific practice resulting in his production of hundreds of movies and establishing him as one of the most influential, avant-garde filmmakers of his generation. This is a unique opportunity to purchase a rare and out-of-print poster directly from Warhol’s own personal collection.

Proceeds directly benefit the non-profit charitable organization he founded with the mission to advance the visual arts. Since its inception in 1987, The Andy Warhol Foundation has been a stalwart advocate for freedom of expression, supporting work that is experimental and challenging in nature and from communities that have been historically marginalized.
