This is a great WW2 A.R.P. Air Raid Precautions Brass Hand Bell, made by JB in 1938, and is a unique historical piece from the era of 1914-1945. Issued during the World War II period, the bell was used for civil defence purposes on the Home Front in the UK. The bell is good quality with an impressive, original clapper, making a loud clear sound. Lovely wooden handle with JB 38 etched on.
