The  SPAD 51 C-1

The Blériot-SPAD S.51 C.1 is a French biplane fighter aircraft developed in the 1920s, with its maiden flight occurring in 1925 for the S.51/2 variant. It was designed to replace older aircraft like the Nieuport-Delage NiD.29 but was ultimately rejected by the French government due to its design shortcomings. Despite this, the aircraft was exported to several countries, with 50 units delivered to Poland, one to Turkey, and one to the Soviet Union. A single S.51/4 variant was also used by the Republican Air Force during the Spanish Civil War, where it was painted in a light blue under surface and a sand-colored upper surface with dark green stripes.
