Another fun thing out of my parents eclectic, art  and folk art collection and recently out of a long storage.

I remember this sitting on my father's 's mantle in his den for years. We grew up with VW Bugs in our family, and I learned to drive in one.

This is a rare to find, vintage, VW Beetle Bug, Blue Tin Toy, Friction Car, Made in Japan by

T. N. Nomura, a well-known manufacturer who made tin toys in the 1950s and '60s.

While I can rev up the back friction wheels by pushing it backwards, it will not go forward. It is all intact and from what I can see, the right portion of the front metal bumper is missing which is about 1/2 in long. Other than that it has all of its parts and is in good stable condition, with some scattered rust in places, but not offensive. It has a slight indentation in the top of the roof, shown, but for the most part, it's a sweet looking car with all of its inside parts, also shown. It has a bit of dust, here and there, but other than that it's in good condition for its age, and shows very well.

Condition is collectable  vintage, a great little car for the collector, or to showcase on its own, coming from a smoke-free environment.
