Please read this carefully before bidding: If you are the type of buyer who returns items, DO NOT BID. If there is even a 1% chance you may try to return this, I do not want your business and I do not want your bid. This is a large, expensive-to-ship package and returns are not possible.
I am selling this STRICTLY AS-IS due to a previous sale where the buyer returned it after stealing/swapping lens parts, even though the listing was no returns. That situation was handled through eBay, but it was a major problem and I will not go through anything like that again. This listing is final sale only.
✅ What this is:
I do not know the model or any other information and I am listing all of the information that I have on this. Please read the description and look at the photos carefully because it will not help to send me questions that I cannot possibly answer.
A Celestron NexStar computerized telescope setup with a large bundle of accessories, including the Celestron NexStar+ hand controller, tripod, hard case, and many extra parts shown in the photos. This is a serious telescope package with a lot included.
⚠️ Condition / Disclosure (PLEASE READ):
• This is being sold AS-IS / UNTESTED AS A FULL SYSTEM because I do not know the exact purpose or status of every piece.
• You may need parts (possibly optical/lens-related parts) that I am not aware are missing.
• There are cracked/broken plastic parts that will need repair.
• The small plastic bracket where the feet/leg-end attaches is broken and will need epoxy or repair.
• There may be other plastic items that could benefit from repair as well.
• The hard case shows some defects/wear (see photos).
• The small cardboard boxes shown are empty — I do not know what all were originally for.
📸 PLEASE examine all photos closely. Everything included is exactly what you see. Because there are many items and small accessories, the photos are the inventory list. There are simply too many pieces to guarantee every single part is present or identify every item’s function. I do not know if it is missing something. You may have to purchase a part separate. The little tiny cardboard boxes that go with this are empty. There may also be other parts, not even pictured that are still in the bag.
📦💸 VERY EXPENSIVE TO SHIP (READ THIS BEFORE BIDDING):
This is one of the most expensive things to pack correctly.
• Approx 35 lbs BEFORE packaging
• Estimated ~40 lbs fully packaged
• Estimated box size needed: 24” x 16” x 36”
• Last time I shipped this I spent about $150 on packaging materials alone to protect it properly.
• I will enter the full weight/dimensions into eBay shipping so the estimate is accurate.
• I may attempt to ship in one box or two boxes depending on what is safest and most cost effective. If (and only if) I save money AFTER packaging costs, I may refund a small portion of shipping — do not count on this.
💼 Consignment policy (why returns are a hard NO):
I occasionally sell items on consignment and those owners must be paid immediately when the auction ends. If someone tries to return something after that, it becomes an unfair, dramatic situation where I would have to chase money back from the consignor. I do not make enough commission to “sponsor” indecisive buyers or window shoppers. If you’ve made two or more returns in the past year, I am asking you to shop elsewhere.
⏱️ Local sale notice:
I may also list this locally (Facebook Marketplace). If someone buys it locally first, it will be gone. If you want it, don’t wait until the last second.
✅ Shipping & handling:
This will be securely packaged for transit with protection where it matters. I ship fast (often same-day when possible). I am sorry shipping is expensive. I will try packaging it in two separate boxes as well as one box to see if I can get the shipping down and if so, after the shipping is paid, and after my packaging expenses are paid, I would reimburse if there is extra, but please do not count on it. I know I spent probably $150 on just packaging expenses the last time. Perhaps I could ship this in just the original factory crate and ship the bag separate I can try.
