FOOM Magazine, or Friends Of Ol' Marvel was Marvel Comics' self-produced fan magazine of the mid-1970s following the canceled Marvelmania and ran for 22 issues. It was initially designed and edited by Jim Steranko with contributions by Stan Lee and many of the creators of the time. This in-house fan magazine, published by Marvel Comics from 1973-1978, ran 22 quarterly issues (February 1973 – Fall 1978) and was only available as a mail away subscription costing $3.00 for 4 issues and mailed to subscribers. FOOM gave its readers the inside scoop on the goings on at Marvel. Included were photos of the Marvel staff, news on Marvel happenings around town, profiles on creators and features on then new titles and characters such as Wolverine and the X-Men.
FOOM Magazine #18 is cover dated June 1977 and was published by Marvel Comics.
