This auction is for a gray road game used jersey, worn by outfielder RYAN CHURCH of the New York Mets.  Church was with the Mets from 2008 to 2009; two of his 7 years as a big league outfielder.  He also played for the Montreal Expos / Washington Nationals (2004-2007), the Pittsburgh Pirates (2010) and the Arizona Diamondbacks (2010). He was a lifetime .264 hitter with 56 home runs and 267 RBIs.

The jersey is a classic road gray button-down model with blue piping.  It is one of the original Majestic lightweight polyester "Cool Base" that teams were beginning to switch to.  Besiddes the lighter weight material, the jersey also featured mesh panels underneath the arms.  The front center features the classic "NEW YORK" logo sewn on in blue twill material bordered by orange.  Below the team logo is Church's #19 sewn on in the same 2 colors. The left sleeve features the embroidered skyline disc patch.  The back of the jersey features the MLB logo, the name CHURCH and a large #19, all sewn on in 2-color twill lettering: blue bordered by orange.  

Inside the front tail of the jersey contains the Majestic MLB Authentic Collection tag containing the Majestic and MLB logos and the size of the jersey (48).  Also sewn inside the jersey are 2 additional manufacturer tags: 

The first of which is the wash tag that indicates that the jersey is a 100% Polyester jersey made in the USA, contains the wash instructions as well as the Majestic code "0063" which was designated to only game jerseys issued to teams.  The second tag is the set tag indicating that this was a "Set 3" jersey from 2008.  Based on the set #, this was likely used later in the season.  The jersey shows good game use, most notably letter and number puckering and loose threads.
