I was using this in my home for a while, I recently sold my home and moved to an apartment where this is not needed. The base unit is a little dirty (its a rubbery shell, which dust seems to stick to) so I cleaned it up, no impact on performance, just so you're aware it may need to be cleaned with a magic eraser or something similar.
