Almost
everything in this listing are paperbacks I picked up in the 70's, 80's and
90's. I would myself sell them at shows and flea markets but those
haven't been much around here for awhile and I have had these put away a
good fifteen years or so. Quite many interesting titles to add to this
page as time permits; nothing really rare and valuable but some cool
ones. Most
are only priced as reading copies.
Individual Titles:
Spectrum II edited by Kingsley Amis & Robert Conquest - Berkeley F950, First printing July 1964. Nice copy, a few ripples on spine but might be unread.
The Metallic Muse by Lloyd Biggle, Jr. - DAW No 106, 1st Printing June 1974, Very Good condition suitable for reading and collection.
Nebula Award Stories Seven ed. by Lloyd Biggle, Jr. - Harrow Books, First Edition. Nice shape, stored in a plastic bag a long time. Thick book a lot of reading here.
Under The Green Star by Lin Carter - DAW No. 30, 1st Printing 1972. Only light cover wear, aging some.
When The Green Star Calls by Lin Carter - DAW No. 62, 1st Printing July 1973, Very Good with average wear or age.
Star Courier by A. Bertram Chandler - DAW #234, 1st Printing March 1977, Very Good with moderate wear..
Tales Of Love And Horror edited by Don Congdon - Ballentine 522K, 1961. Very nice looking, small scuffs at top front and back otherwise close to new.
Invaders Of Earth ed. by Groff Conklin - Tempo Books, a "Tempo Giant" another anthology with a lot of copy. Nice shape and spine doesn't look cracked.
The Blade Of Conan edited by L. Sprague de Camp - First ACE Printing May 1979. Some Conan stories by other authors and also useful overall look at Howard's assorted characters.
Flash Gordon In The Sand World Of Mongo by Horace J. Elias - 1976 King Features Syndicate. Have wondered about this one for some time myself, always thought it was a swipe from some European author but it is all American. Elias wrote children's books on assignment for characters such as The Flintstones, and apparently they handed him Flash Gordon for an assignment. No clue who the artist was but it is Graphic Novel format with every right page being an illustration.
Wizards And Warlocks by Vic Ghidalia - Manor 95-192, 1972. Decent copy only a little light wear.
King Solomon's Mines by H. Rider Haggard - Dell Laurel Edition LC172, 1st Dell printing September 1961. Attractive copy, only a few small defects. Vintage used book store markings inside.
The Return by Isidore Haiblum - Dell Books First Printing February 1973. Pretty good looking about as nice as you could expect from a read copy.
Conquest Of The Moon by William Hines - Pyramid "The Worlds Of Science Edition" Very Good. Scan taken with it in a plastic bag.
The Invisibles by Bernhardt J. Hurwood - Fawcett Gold Medal edition August 1971 and pretty nice shape, cal it VF.
Brak Vs. The Sorceress by John Jakes - First Pocket Books edition November 1977. Nice copy not much wear.
The Cybernetic Brains by Raymond F. Jones - Paperback Library 1st Edition 1969. Very Good or a little better, it has been in a snug fitting plastic bag for a long time and I have just left it in there.
Starmasters' Gambit by Gerard Klein - DAW Books No. 68, 1st edition 1973, Kelly Freas cover Very Good.
The Star Treasure by Keith Laumer - Berkeley Medallion Edition, July 1971. Very Good, light to moderate wear.
Lest Earth Be Conquered by Frank Belknap Long - Belmont Books December 1977. Very Good, aging some but not too far along.

Nebula Award Stories Number Two ed. by Brian W. Aldiss and Harry Harrison - Pocket Books 3rd Printing December 1969. Nice copy has only a little light wear, and pages not aging much.
Ice Crown by Andre Norton - Ace Books, 75 cent price so a 70's edition, Good to Very Good with some aging.
Snow Shadow by Andre Norton - First Fawcette Crest Edition 1979. Vintage retail sticker on the cover, Very Good condition.
Gormenghast by Mervyn Peake - Ballentine Books 4th Printing December 1973 - Looks pretty decent, pages starting to age mostly around the edges. Second in the series. Issued after Tolkien got super popular in the sixties and Ballentine was desperate for another "trilogy" so they went for this one. Kind of like fantasy without anything mystical happening.
Man Plus by Frederik Pohl - Bantam Books 1st edition 1977, nice shape, has been bagged a long time.
The Veils Of Azlaroc by Fred Saberhagen - "Otherworlds Book Club" edition with no retail price, has copyright of 1978 but they didn't come out until the early 80's in this edition. Excellent to Near Mint condition, unread copy.
Citizen In Space by Robert Sheckley - First Ballentine Bal-Hi edition 1968. Very Good or a little better, has been in a plastic bag a long time and scan was taken with it on.
The Mysteries Of Easter Island by Jean-Michel Schwartz - Avon Books First Printing August 1975 - Nice shape, light crease on the spine. This might be looked at as an introduction to the general public regarding the curious artifacts of fame. Not sure how well the author's personal conclusions have held up over time but the presentation of the statues and few cultural artifacts known is straightforward.
Artery Of Fire by Thomas N. Scortia - Popular Library edition, Very Good with a few minor blemishes.
Close Encounters Of The Third Kind Mind-Benders by Joseph and Lenore Scott - 1978 Tempo Books. About as much to do directly with the movie as Beatles Talcum Powder had to do with the Beatles but demonstrates the popularity of the film at the time. Would have been the ideal book for an airplane trip, a lot of little puzzlers with some vague photos from the movie. Very Good condition.
Nightwings by Silverberg - Avon 1st Printing September 1969, Very Good.
(Ace Double) So Bright The Vision by Clifford D. Simak w/The Man Who Saw Tomorrow by Jeff Sutton - Ace H-95. Decent copy only a few small defects.

The "Lomokome" Papers by Herman Wouk - Pocket Books 75226, 1st Printing March 1968. Reasonably nice copy only a few blemishes
