Charming little book is filled with full color illustrations of flowers and fairies. This book is a product of the imagination of Cicely Mary Barker, talented illustrator whose work has captivated children and adults alike for over 80 years. Barker is both author and illustrator of this book. Each illustration pictures a meticulously accurate flower and a sweet fairy.  

Cicely Mary Barker was born in Croydon, South London in 1895 and died in 1973. Despite her lack of formal artistic training her natural talent was commercially recognized when she was only 15 with the publication of a set of postcards. The first flower fairy book was published in 1923. This title was first published in 1925.

The reproductions in this book have been made using modern electronic scanning methods from Cicely Mary Barker's original watercolors.
