The Fokker S.6H... .....was a floatplane variant of the Fokker C.V-E, specifically modified for operations from water. It was one of several versions of the S.6 series used by the Swedish Air Force, which included the S.6 (C.V-E), S.6A (C.V-D), and S.6B (C.V-E with a more powerful engine). The S.6H was developed to allow the aircraft to operate from lakes and coastal areas, enhancing its versatility for reconnaissance and liaison duties. A total of 17 S.6 aircraft were manufactured in Sweden under license between 1929 and 1932, and some of these were fitted with floats to become the S.6H variant. The Czech company LF Models has produced a resin model kit of the S.6H in scale 1:72 for sale, with the catalog number 7269. The S.6H served in various roles, including fire spotting, aerial photography, and liaison missions, and remained in service until being gradually replaced by the Saab 17 from 1942 onward. After the war, some surviving S.6 aircraft were sold for civilian use, including to Svensk Flygtjänst and Skåneflyg. One S.6 aircraft is preserved and on display at the Swedish Air Force Museum in Linköping. !!!PLEASE READ!!!
