this is a beautiful
hand carved teakwood canoe bailer. it's in great vintage condition, with some very light surface wear (as seen in the pics). I don't believe this was ever actually used, it seems to be more of a collector's item.
i am guessing this came from New Zealand, possibly a Maori piece? **this is just my best guess.** it does not have any elaborate tribal carvings or designs on it - it's just sleek, beautiful carved wood.
it has a very modernist, mid century vibe.
the carved handle is part of one original solid piece of teak wood, it is not an attached piece.
