Notice for U.S. CustomersDear Customers, Due to circumstances beyond our control, including government decisions and new customs requirements, courier companies we work with have temporarily suspended shipments from Poland to the United States. In practice, this means:
As a result, we are currently unable to fulfill orders to the United States. If you are located in the U.S., we kindly ask that you refrain from placing orders until regular shipping options are restored. We apologize for the inconvenience — this situation is beyond our control. We remain in contact with our shipping partners and are working to resume deliveries to the U.S. as soon as possible. Reason for the Temporary Suspension of Shipments to the U.S.As of August 25, 2025, new customs regulations in the United States have eliminated the previous duty exemption for goods valued up to $800. This means that every package containing goods may now be subject to additional duties and inspections. The lack of clear procedures for duty collection and coordination with U.S. customs authorities has resulted in logistical chaos, preventing the efficient handling of parcels containing goods. As a result, the dispatch of goods-containing shipments to the U.S. has been temporarily suspended — this applies to both parcels and declared-value letters. Only correspondence and documents can still be sent. This is a temporary measure. We are closely monitoring the situation and will resume full shipping services to the U.S. as soon as logistics and customs conditions allow. Long Splitter Axe Red/Black Hickory Wood, C45 Carbon Steel is a large and heavy splitting axe, designed for efficient chopping of firewood and splitting of large-diameter logs. Thanks to the use of high-quality materials and German-made precision, this tool combines reliability, durability and ergonomic use. The head is made of hardened carbon steel C45, which ensures high resistance to blunting, impact and difficult working conditions. Its wide profile and expanding cutting geometry facilitate the separation of wood fibers with minimal user effort. The handle, made of selected hickory wood, is characterized by exceptional overload resistance and flexibility, which effectively dampens vibrations generated during impacts. The ergonomic handle design improves control and reduces fatigue during prolonged use. The weight and heft of this axe make it ideal for heavy work around the house, in the garden or in the great outdoors. Its robust design and versatility make it a practical choice for years to come. Adler – in 1919, in the heart of Baden-Württemberg, master blacksmith Josef Schmitt, returning from the front of World War I, together with his father Philipp, founded a forge in Wiesental, where he shaped steel with passion and precision, giving it the form of tools of timeless durability. Over time, thanks to the continuous improvement of the craft and the introduction of its own handle production, the workshop has transformed into the renowned ADLER brand, whose products - made of certified ash wood and carbon steel - combine functionality with aesthetics. Today, under the leadership of the founder's great-grandson, Tobias Schmitt, the company continues the family tradition of offering gardening and forestry tools that reflect more than a century of quality, durability and innovation. The best proof of the quality of Adler products is their success in the demanding US market, which does not compromise when it comes to reliability and precision. C45 is a medium carbon structural steel with a carbon content between 0.42% and 0.50% (by weight). It offers a good combination of tensile strength (Rm ≈ 600-750 MPa after normalization) and ductility. It is used for the production of various machine parts, including shafts, axles, gears, pins, as well as structural elements with medium loads. It is characterized by better machinability compared to higher carbon steels, but like other carbon steels, it is susceptible to corrosion. NOTE! It is not stainless steel, so it requires minimal maintenance after use or if it is not to be used for a long time. Head - made of durable C45 carbon steel, valued for its wear resistance and ability to maintain sharpness. Its design is specifically for wood splitting - not the classic Yankee or Rheinland shape, but a specially profiled wedge shape with a widening cross-section. Thanks to this geometry, the blade easily penetrates the wood structure and then gradually pushes the fibers apart, which greatly facilitates the splitting process. Compared to traditional heads, this profile reduces the risk of the blade getting stuck in the trunk and allows for more dynamic, efficient work. The right balance ensures good control with every strike, minimizing fatigue even during long work sessions. The smooth surface finish of the head further increases corrosion resistance and improves the aesthetics of the tool. The head is permanently and securely embedded, which translates into many years of trouble-free use. Handle – made of selected American hickory wood, valued for its exceptional strength and natural durability. The ergonomic profile of the handle ensures a secure grip and high comfort of use, even during long-term work in demanding conditions. The upper part of the handle, where it meets the head, is protected by a steel collar, which protects the wood from damage resulting from missed strikes. The lower part has been coated with a water-based paint with a rough, non-slip structure, which additionally improves the grip of the hand and enables precise tool guidance. The applied protection of the surface of the handle increases its resistance to weather conditions and significantly extends its service life. The pommel is mounted on a triple safety system: a wooden wedge and two steel ring wedges, which ensures maximum safety and durability during intensive use of the axe. Cover - a hand-sewn leather cover for the head, enabling safe carrying of the tool.
