For sale is a small panel mount meter from the Weston company,
model 1011. This version has scale markings 0 to 10 with a red band in
the center corresponding to 5 +/- 0.5. It inserts into a round hole in
the panel and then secures to the panel using 4 mounting holes. This was
the adjustment meter out of a Collins 18S-4 military aircraft
transceiver from the 1950s. Because it measured multiple things in the
unit (selected by switch) a 0-10 scale was used.
The
meter works well and is full scale at 2 mA DC. Two of the pictures
show the meter working at half and full scale current (1 mA, 2 mA,
monitored by a multi-meter). This would be an interesting thing to
design into a home project.
