Fawcett published all kinds of how to books. This one was published when there was significant interest in Civil War history in the late 50's and 60's.
Hirst Dillon Milhollen was at the Library of Congress and wrote a number of Civil War histories, and Major James Ralph Johnson and wrote articles in military publications.
Numerous interesting pictures from the early days of photography, some of which are gruesome. The book also shows images from contemporary newspapers, illustrations, and paintings.
Condition is good but delicate as low quality paper was used that has darkened and the stapled binding was not meant to last forever. The front cover has creased corners and the spine has some tears. This will be shipped in a sleeve. I have several other civil war titles listed.
Buyer pays cost of Media Mail in the US. International buyers welcome. I pack carefully and use recycled materials when possible.
I would be happy to answer any questions or send more photos. Returns are allowed if my description wasn't accurate. Seller pays return shipping.
Please watch my auctions for other tools, especially woodworking items, paper, books, occasional bottles and who knows what else....
