This is a CMC 1/18 scale diecast model of the Mercedes-Benz W165 from 1939, an undisplayed collectible in excellent condition. The W165 was a voiturette racing car designed and developed in just six months. It achieved a dominant 1-2 finish victory at the 1939 Tripoli Grand Prix, with Hermann Lang securing first place ahead of his teammate Rudolf Caracciola. The car was equipped with a supercharged 1.5-liter V8 engine and proved highly competitive on the high-speed North African circuit. After the Tripoli Grand Prix, the W165 was never raced again. As an undisplayed piece, this model remains in excellent condition.
