Manufactured in Birmingham and clearly dated 1915.

J. Hudson & Co were the principal suppliers of whistles for British military and official use during the First World War.

Whistles dated to the war years are increasingly sought after by collectors.

Early Hudson whistles with clear WW1 dates are less commonly found than later examples.

This has been reflected in the asking price.

The whistle displays well and is a correct WW1 period example.
