You are bidding on a 1976 Australia complete 26 stamps Year set. This consists of a:
18 Cents commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Nationhood; an 18 Cents commemorating the Centenary of the First Effective Telephone Transmission by Alexander Graham Bell; a 6x18 Cents set featuring early Australian Explorers; an 18 Cents commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO); a 2x18, 25 and 40 Cents set celebrating the XXI Olympic Games held in Montreal (Canada); a 5, 25, 35, 50, 70 and 85 Cents set featuring natural & man made scenes from around Australia; an 18 Cents celebrating National Stamp Week; a 15 and 45 Cents pair celebrating Christmas; and last a 4x18 Cents set featuring Famous Australians.
During the decade of the 1970s, this was a time of great debate and social change. Old ways were overturned as women, peace activists and First Nations peoples sought to be heard. The Women’s Movement, from the mid-1960s, continued to gain supporters. This year saw the introduction of The Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Amendment Act - the first legislation which recognised First Nations land rights. Also in this year, the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery returned the remains of Truganini, a Nuenonne woman, back to the Tasmanian Aboriginal community - one of the first repatriation of remains or cultural items to their communities of origin.   • Delivery time obviously depends on the shipping option chosen. 
  • Regular Air Mail usually takes about 3 to 10 working days and Surface Mail takes up to 3 months. 
  • Local and Interstate Mail can take about 2 to 7 days. 
  • I ship quickly and cannot be held responsible for delays caused by Customs or Australia Post. Once mailed, the package is also out of my hands and I cannot be held responsible for loss or damage - especially if International Registered Post or Registered Post option has not been chosen by the buyer.
