I am selling this rare 1988 3 door 8 valve GTI. 

Cars of this type very very rarely come up for sale and would suit a collector or genuine VW enthusiast.

The car has only coveted a very low and very genuine 116300miles which is backed up by full and very comprehensive service history with the last service being carried out at 116040

The car has only had 4 previous owners and has been dry stored for the last 10 years

This car is one of the most genuine totally standard and unspoilt Mk2s l've had for years as everything is original, it has a full book pack, build sticker present, all other factory stickers in place, original stereo with booklet, boot floor is unmarked.

I’ve had welding done to the scuttle, rear drivers side arch outer and inner, as well as the sill area on the drivers rear. it still requires welding to the front chassis leg and battery area, replacement panel has been included. 

The car will start but probably needs a new battery as can be sluggish to turn over, runs and drives for loading purposes but will need light recommissioning before going on the road, it’s had new brake lines and new brakes all round but will still require going over. Interior is lovely. 

It owes me ALOT more than what it’s being listed for so please no silly offers. Reluctant sale I just don’t have the space or time to finish 

There is no v5 so it would need applying for from the dvla for £25
