This price is for a set of 45 fingers.
Each finger of wood is approx 114mm x 23mm and 8 to 9mm thick.
45 fingers laid in chequerboard fashion make approx 34cm x
34cm.
320 fingers make up a square yard.
382 fingers make up a square metre.
Type of wood uncertain: may be Teak, Oak, Mahogany.
Condition: Usual for reclaimed flooring: bitumen residue on
the underside; varnish and traces of bitumen on upper face.
Originally laid in the 1950s-1970s in a chequerboard pattern using 5 fingers per square. But can be laid in various herringbone patterns – use your creativity!
Once re-laid, the flooring will need to be sanded and varnished
(or waxed) and polished. It will look terrific!
