This is an Emeco Chair, Model 1006, originally designed in 1944 for the U.S. Navy. These examples date to the 2010s. The chairs were built by hand from recycled aluminum in Hanover, Pennsylvania. These examples feature a brushed aluminum finish and a seat pad in black upholstery. Aluminum is an excellent material for seating as it is lightweight and is also naturally fireproof.
The listed price includes one chair and there are more than 12 available to purchase.
Each chair measures 19.5 inches long, 15.5 inches wide, and 34 inches high, with a seat height of 18 inches. The legs have some light scuff marks on them, and there are light scratches. Overall, these chairs are in very good condition. Please see photos.
