After their illustrious entry into the music box world via the "Capital Cuff", this was the very first true disk music box offering by the New Jersey, USA firm of F. Otto & Sons. Indeed, it was designated as Model "00".
The single-comb mechanism, with 44 teeth, is hand-driven by a crank from the front. This type of music box historically was called a "manivelle" type.
The oak case measures 10 3/8" x 9 1/8" x 6 7/8". The music disks are 8 3/4" diameter, and five (5) are furnished with this music box, including some Christmas titles.
Playing condition is excellent, with great sound.
A very nice music box at a very reasonable price, especially considering it's fine cosmetic and playing condition!
