This listing is for a vintage Hammarlund air-variable capacitor, marked “Hammarlund Mfg Corp – New York, USA.” These high-quality tuning condensers were widely used in 1930s–1950s radio equipment, including amateur radio receivers, broadcast sets, and RF projects.
Used. The tuning shaft rotates, but the unit shows significant oxidation, scratches, and patina from age. Solder residue is present on one terminal. Plates appear generally intact, though exact alignment cannot be guaranteed. No electrical testing has been performed. Sold as-is due to age. Please examine all photos carefully.

Indemnification. The Buyer agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold the Seller harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising out of the Buyer’s misuse, installation, resale, or subsequent transfer of the items.
Shipping. U.S. customers only. Items will ship to the confirmed address associated with the Buyer’s account. Risk of loss transfers to the Buyer when the carrier accepts the package. Any damage or loss during transit must be reported to and handled with the carrier.
Jurisdiction. The sale is deemed to occur in the State of Wisconsin, and any legal dispute shall be governed by Wisconsin law with venue in Wisconsin courts.
