Our client's lovely oil painting on wooden board by Imre Perlmutter (1892-1935) depicts a peasant woman with a basket of fruit hanging from her neck and holding a woven basket in her right hand as she walks down a fence-lined country road.

Board measures 4.5" by 6" and its glazed period frame measures 8" by 10". 

The rear carries the stamp of Magyar Nemzeti Galeria, the Hungarian National Gallery, indicating the piece was authenticated and approved for export according to Hungarian law.
