"A Merry Christmas - Ernest And Elizabeth Roth. Union Square”. A charming Christmas greeting sent by the artist and his wife to friends and family. Ernest Roth (1879–1964) was a prominent American etcher known for his architectural scenes, especially of New York City and Europe. Starting in the late 1910s, the couple produced a new, small etching each year for their holiday greetings. Each card featured an original etching by Roth, often a scene derived from Roth's travels in Europe (such as Venice, Florence, or Rouen) or New York City.

Etching, measuring 4.75x7. Small holes at the top corner and bottom, not affect the image; minor soil, two small pieces of mounting tape on the back.
