Car A/C Condenser Function
1. The A/C condenser is usually installed in the front of the automobile (in front of the radiator) and cooled by the fan (the condenser fan is shared with the radiator fan, and some models use a special condenser fan).
2. The Air-Conditioning condenser is located between the car's grille and the engine-cooling radiator in which the gaseous refrigerant sheds heat and returns to a liquid state. The liquid refrigerant flows to the evaporator inside the dashboard, where it cools the cabin.
3. The condenser works as a car radiator by dissipating out heat but also cooling the high-pressure refrigerant gas so it forms into a high-pressure liquid, then gets streamed to the receiver-dryer until it continues to the expansion valve.
4. The function of the condenser is to change the high-temperature and high-pressure gaseous refrigerant sent by the compressor into liquid refrigerant, and the refrigerant changes its state due to heat dissipation in the condenser.
5. Therefore, the condenser is a heat exchanger that radiates the heat absorbed by the refrigerant in the vehicle to the atmosphere through the condenser.

 

Disassembly and assembly steps of the car condenser
1. Disassembly sequence of condenser
(1) Discharge the refrigerant from the refrigeration system;
(2) Remove the inlet and outlet pipes of the condenser respectively;
(3) Remove the radiator;
(4) Unscrew the fixing bolts with special tools and take out the condenser.
2. The installation sequence of the condenser
(1) In order to make the condenser fully dissipate heat, the condenser should be cleaned before installation to ensure sufficient air flow through the condenser coil;
(2) Install the condenser correctly so that the gap between the upper end and the hood is not less than 15cm.
(3) When connecting the lines, ensure that the distance between the connecting wire and the engine body is greater than 50mm, and the circle between the connecting wire and the fuel pipe should be greater than 100mm;
(4) In order to prevent the temperature sensing capillary on the evaporator from coming out, it should be clamped before installation, and the temperature sensing tube should not be twisted.
