This is a neck rope that slides over the horses head. It is 62", but can be taken up with a sliding keeper. It is used to get a lighter communication with your horse to train him to ride bridleless. This one is Burgundy.
Directions:
Start in a small controlled environment. Have your reins connected to the bridle, but lay them on the horses neck and ride with the neck rope. If your horse is not listening to the neck rope, pick up your reins for reinforcement and then go back to the neck rope. This will greatly improve your communication with your horse and will have your horse paying more attention to the cues you give with your legs and seat. Ultimately your horse should be riding with the neck rope and your cues.
