This twin port inlet manifold is designed for all 1600cc Type 1 aircooled engines running the widely used 34 PICT carburettor. Built as a good-quality reproduction of the original VW manifold, it provides the correct airflow path and pre-heat arrangement needed for smooth cold running, proper atomisation, and consistent drivability.
The manifold features a 35mm base flange and a single pre-heat connection, replicating the classic twin-port layout used from 1970 onwards. It is also supplied with vacuum take-off ports, which are essential for SVDA distributors or vacuum-operated accessories. If you do not require vacuum ports, they will need to be properly blanked off for correct operation.
Although designed as a direct replacement, some engines may require minor modification or adjustments during installation. This is common with aftermarket manifolds due to variations in exhaust pre-heat alignment, tinware clearance, or original engine configuration.
Gaskets are NOT supplied – we recommend replacing flange and heat riser gaskets during installation
Vacuum take-offs included (blank off if not used)
Some fitting modification may be required
Suitable for all 34 PICT carburettor setups
Twin-port configuration only
