One pack of
Eight (8) genuine WW1 Shrapnel Balls from the Battlefields of The Somme. These
were found near Gueudecourt. These balls are made of Lead and Antimony, and so
if handled it is important to wash your hands afterwards. These balls were used as Anti Personnel. It should also be noted that a lot of these balls
will show signs of impact and discolouration.
This section of the Western Front was a very active
sector during the Somme offensive with actions from the Australians, the New
Foundlanders and the British. These shrapnel relics were found on ground
between Gueudecourt and Flers, around the location of the German Front Line
trenches.
