A spanish language volume consisting of 32 engraved plates, each plate followed by a short uncredited poem with the same title as the plate. Several of the poems are by the Cuban poet José María Heredia.
Some of the poems may be translations from the English originals
According to E. R. Moore (José María Heredia in the United States, Modern Language Notes, vol. 65, no. 1), several of the poems in this volume are by José María Heredia; they are probably taken from Heredia's Poesías, which was published in New York in 1825. The poems are
entitled Cascada de Montmorency, La Cascada de Trenton, Niagara (from Torrente Prodigioso), and Atenas, which are extracted from the 1825 Heredia's book, some with variant readings found nowhere else.
Heredia appears to have at least known of this publication because in the 1832 edition of his Poesías he refers to their publication in Philadelphia.
