Beccon Publications First Edition

Description: Trade paperback book published by Beccon Publications in 1998. The copyright page states 'Printing History / Beccon Publications - August 1998 - First Edition' and no further printings are listed, making this a first printing. Signed by both authors on the title page without inscription or personalization. Signed by the subject of the book, author E.C. Tubb, on the title page without inscription or personalization. This book appears to have had a fairly small print run as I didn't find a lot of copies for sale. I did find a copy or two signed by Tubb, Harbottle and the publisher but my copy appears to be the only one currently for sale that is signed by author Sean Wallace, Tubb and Harbottle.

From the Back Cover: Across five decades, under his own name and some sixty pseudonyms, Tubb has produced an incredible amount of science fiction, supernatural fantasy, adventure, detective, historical and western fiction, contained in more than 200 short stories and novelettes, and over 130 books. His work has reprinted all over the world in more than a dozen languages. Now, for the very first time, all of these hundreds of stories and books have been identified and evaluated. Harbottle and Wallace have produced a bibliography that is so comprehensive, it sets an entirely new standard for the field. It not only lists each story and novel, with full publishing information (including cover artists and illustrators) but also carries and incisive critique and commentary for each story! All reprints and anthology appearances of each story are also noted, as well as foreign translations, and the book is extensively illustrated and indexed. An indispensable reference work for the discerning collector, it can also be read and enjoyed by an fan of the author as a book in its own right.

Condition: Binding - near fine, minor reverse spine lean, very slight bumping of the edges and lower corners, very slight soiling. Dust Jacket - none, as issued.

Shipping and Packing: General Information:

We always ship in sturdy new boxes with premium heavy duty packing tape, bubblewrap and filler to keep the item(s) away from the sides of the box. The pictures below show the boxes that we use for shipping.

A Note On Customs:

When customs forms are required for a shipment, we fill them out honestly, stating that the contents are merchandise and giving the price you paid for the item (not including the shipping) as the value. Please do not ask us to do otherwise. Take any customs duty that you will have to pay into consideration before making your purchase.

Please note that many countries have restrictions on the import of certain goods and sometimes on the maximum value that can be shipped to the country by various shipping methods. Priority Mail International insurance cannot be purchased for all countries and some limit the amount of insurance that can be purchased (default indemnity coverage seems to apply to all countries). Details on shipping conditions by country can be found on the United States Post Office website.
