As the item is vintage there may be some areas where the original tape on the packaging has degraded or fallen off. There also may be some minor scuffs to the plastic, sticker residue, and the chain often moves out of its original place in the packaging.  Please be assured that the Tamagotchi has never been taken out of the packaging and the battery seals are still in place.

New and sealed since 1996. The item cannot be tested and is sold as a collector's piece. Whilst I cannot 100% guarantee that it will work if opened, there is no reason why it shouldn't work perfectly. I have sold over 100 vintage Tamagotchis on Ebay and to private collectors respectively. If opened and you want to return the item, then I cannot give a full refund as it is sold as a new and sealed product.
