This is a fine First World War U.S. Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal is excellent condition. The bronze planchet is extremely well struck and exhibits sharp detail. The reverse is beautifully hand engraved, ‘No. 12725 – WALTER CONNELL JR. – 1ST ENLISTMENT – 1917-1921’. The planchet is suspended from the original ribbon, which is strong and with vibrant color. There is one, minute frayed spot at the center of the ribbon at the front that can be seen in the photos. Other than this, it remains strong, solid, and with excellent color. The medal is mounted on a pin back broach that is with a functional pin and roller locking assembly. The front of the broach bears the title, ‘U.S. Marine Corps’ surrounded by a rope border.
