This is an extremely fine Civil War State of New York SNY Belt Buckle that is in excellent, non-dug condition. The face shows a few light dings and scratches from use in the field and is now with an attractive, age toned patina. The edges are perfect and without damage. The reverse is with full lead and ‘puppy paw’ type belt hooks. It remains a fine-looking example in excellent, undamaged condition and as used by many New York regiments during the Civil War, including the famed 14th Brooklyn.
