Here
I have for sale a Doulton Lambeth Jug, showing a Lion, designed
by Hannah Barlow, Circa 1872, a very early piece for Hannah Barlow.
The Jug stands 7.75 inches in height, and it measures 2 inches across the top rim and 3 inches across the base.
The Jug is decorated very well, with a Lion amongst foliage ,
the Sgraffito work is neat and
precise, and the colours and glaze are good, a rare and early piece.
The
base has the usual marks of the period and the monogram for Hannah
Barlow.
The Jug is in very good condition, there has been a small hairline restored to
the
top rim, the hairline was very small, around 3 cms long, it has been taken care of to a high professional standard and is now invisible to the naked eye, the Jug displays very well.
Apart from the above mentioned there is nothing else to note, and there is no other restoration and no damage, guaranteed.
Any white marks or other are either camera glare or under glaze.
Who ever buys this Jug will not be disappointed and it would make a great addition to any collection.
Will post within 2 working days of cleared payment.
International buyers please contact me for shipping costs.
