A vintage copper or brass souvenir inkwell from Cologne Germany featuring a relief of that city's famous Hohenzollern Bridge (which crosses the Rhine River) and what I think is its cathedral.
Since the bridge was built between 1907 and 1911, this inkwell most likely dates from 1912.
The inkwell has two inkwells with hinged lids but no glass inkpots inside. It would have had ink bottles or pots at some point, but perhaps they were broken or mislaid. The space inside would fit an inkpots with diameters of about 3cm and standing about 2.5cm tall.
There is a dark stain or mark on the left-hand side and a small dent - please see the close-up photos.
The text on the item identifies the landmarks: "Hohenzollern Brücke" (Hohenzollern Bridge), "Köln" (Cologne), and "Rhein" (Rhine River).
It is about 22cm at its widest point and about 8cm at its tallest point. It weighs 670 grams.
