This is an antique early 19th century Georgian old Sheffield silver plate inkstand with cut glass bottles with sterling tops. The sterling tops are hallmarked with a maker mark, rampant lion, George III profile and date letter L topped by a crown for Sheffield and the year 1810. The glass is all matching in a cut pattern, and is perfect with no chips. The sterling tops have dents and both have side splits. One bottle is a pounce pot, the other an inkwell, and the center glass piece is for nibs or other desk accessories. The silver over copper stand has minimal copper showing.. nothing noticeable at all. Few small bends to edge seen on bottom. Overall very good condition for a piece that is well over 200 years old.
