Up for sale, a 1967 Guyatone Surf Deluxe HG-208 in excellent condition and in perfect working order. Made in Japan, this exceedingly rare Guyatone eight-string console steel features a built-in “Surf” white noise “wave sound” generator with a light up playing surface.

The pair of single coil pickups deliver a singing upper midrange sparkle, with enough underlying harmonic warmth to produce a sweet yet focused signal. Plus, the unique “Surf” generator is an instant ticket to tropical bliss, delivering the sound of crashing waves via the white noise generator, with independent Volume and Tone controls for the effect to ensure the ocean doesn’t get too stormy. This Surf Deluxe HG-208 has been professionally setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar, dialed in with 15-55 roundwound strings.
