What to Expect with eBay Standard Envelope
Instead of a carrier scanning at the door, the USPS's automated sorting machinery scans the envelopes, and these scans are reported back to eBay.
The "delivered" status often indicates the item reached the final sorting facility before being delivered to the buyer, which can happen one or two days before the actual delivery.
- Potential for Unreliable Scans:
Due to the automated nature, the tracking isn't always perfect, and some envelopes may not receive a final "delivered" scan.
Application of Patch:
- Gather Supplies: You will need your patch, a household iron (no steam setting), a protective cloth or parchment paper, and the item you're applying the patch to.
- Prepare the Surface: Ensure the fabric is clean, dry, and ironed flat.
- Set the Iron: Turn the iron to the highest heat setting recommended for the fabric, and make sure the steam setting is off.
- Position the Patch: Place the patch adhesive-side down onto the desired area of the fabric.
Application
1. Cover the Patch: Place a thin cloth, like an old t-shirt, over the patch to protect it from direct heat.
2. Apply Heat: Press down firmly with the iron onto the protective cloth over the patch. Avoid sliding the iron, as this can shift the patch.
3. Hold Pressure: Maintain firm, steady pressure for 30-60 seconds. The heat activates the adhesive on the back of the patch, allowing it to bond to the fabric as it cools.
4. Flip and Repeat: Turn the item inside out and press the back of the patch area with the iron for another 30-60 seconds.
5. Cool Down: Let the patch cool completely before touching or testing its adhesion. This allows the glue to set properly.
