Especiall this exact individual sample of Beats Pro's specifically-- as they are 1 of the VERY VERY few existing instances of Beats X Monster Beats Pro's that have never been HANDLED IN ANY WAY OUTSIDE of confirming the authenticity by examining the placement of the serial number and its characters along with each marking that indicates the manufacturing of MONSTER produced Pro's before Apples acquisition and easily arguable lessened quality due to revisions of the manufacturing process and components before their own production began: which had al been changed to be a more easily/mass manufacturable item.
These are a very great example of a collector buying two for one to sit on a shelf (I'm that collector) and have stared at them long enough that I'd rather see someone get use out of them that will appreciate them for what they had been created for.
While most "sealed" Pro's that you will find are simply replicas that are increasingly harder to identify as the manufacturing process overseas becomes more and more matriculate.
This example belongs to a group comprised of very few in the same condition, and this is only important because the number of samples that would qualify to be grouped into the same state of condition will only ever go down; with fewer and fewer in existence every year as people acquire, unseal, and change the condition from never used to having been operated. These headphones are still contained in the manufacturers original protective packaging, and this is the only sample I've seen that:
- Still includes all of the items originally provided by the manufacturer
- Has 100% NEVER seen operation
- Is actually a Geniune product with verifiable serial #
- Is still an early MONSTER made example that was before HTC/Apple took over manufacturing operations and is built using the original design i.e. Pre Gen-2 (Apple/HTC) Driver
There will always be a way to ID the real from replica due to the proprietary tooling that was used in the creation of the original products that, unless somehow was sold to them by monster, will never be replicated in the exact same way. The box is usually a great example, and if a seller has more than one or 2 that are listed, not to mention around 10 available in the same listing but only manage to have one box used for the photo, is a great way to tell without even examining the actual product that you're dealing with a non legitimate item/set of items. Real verified examples by authenticators, with sales made at auction houses around the world have seen legitimate examples of completely unused condition have consistently sold for over $1200 for the last 4 years, and odds are anything under $6-800, not to mention an example that is still originally SEALED along with the above mentioned indicators are simply replicas. This isn't a "in my book" conclusion or assumption, the entire community containing anyone who has dedicated more than a few days worth of hours examining and researching these products will certainly always tell you the same. I didn't need to spend 20 minutes composing this description for my sale, I just happened to be selling mine and am also frustrated seeing hundreds of counterfeit items being sold to people who just want a authentic real item, who then believe they've gotten to experience the actual quality of sound that was made specifically for these headphones due to a culmination of effort over decades by enthusiastically spirited audiophiles. It's sad to see someone in person in this exact situation, and upon examining the pair they own have to then inform them that they've purchased nothing more than foam padded Skull candy x Walmart collab headphones with a "b" on the side for bad. Blown out sound with drivers that blow out anything over half volume because they're made to go into items similar to Smart TV remotes with whichever brands Smart Agent corresponds with the item.
