MSP BOND Limestone Sealer — manufactured by Carbusonic — is a colourless, UV-resistant silane-siloxane water-repellent formulated specifically for absorbent limestone. It chemically bonds to carbonate surfaces to deliver breathable protection from penetrating damp while keeping stone looking clean and natural.

Breathable: will not block pores — water vapour can escape, preventing trapped moisture and spalling.

Best suited to absorbent limestone — not recommended for very dense, non-absorbent stone.
Maintains vapour permeability while providing long-lasting water repellence.
Typical coverage: 1 L covers approx. 2–4 m² (varies with porosity and method).
Brush application: aim for 1 L per 2.5–3.5 m² per coat to ensure adequate saturation. At least two coats applied wet-on-wet are recommended for best protection.
Penetration: typically 2–10 mm depending on substrate porosity.
Best results: apply when no rain is expected for 24 hours after application.
Preparation: Ensure the limestone is clean, dry and free of dust, salt deposits or biological growth. Test a small, inconspicuous area first to confirm appearance and absorption.
Recommended for small walls, around windows, or architectural details.
Apply liberally to saturate the surface. Use enough product so the substrate is thoroughly wetted — success depends on adequate application.
Apply at least two coats wet-on-wet (i.e., apply the second coat before the first begins to cure).
Ideal for large façades and open walls.
Start at the highest point and work side-to-side, allowing a 15–30 cm run-down of product for even penetration.
Flood coat twice (apply wet-on-wet) for best results. On less absorbent limestone one thorough coat may suffice.
External limestone façades, restoration projects, listed buildings, stone trims, memorials, lintels, and porous architectural stonework.
Not suitable for non-absorbent stone or waterproof materials.
Do not apply during rain, frost, or when surface/air temperature is below 5°C or above 30°C.
Keep out of reach of children. Use suitable PPE (gloves, eye protection).
Store in original sealed containers in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
