The lens is not expected to assist with deuteranopia and protanopia (which are types of total or complete red-green color blindness comprising the remaining 20% of cases of CVD). Effectiveness of the lens may vary depending on the type and extent of color vision deficiency.

These glasses work. Some people are unsure how to use these. They put them on and think it makes everything red and doesn't help. But the actuality of it is it provides huge contrast between colors that you normally have trouble disguising, if your red green colorblind. I put these on while taking a color test the number or shape becomes visible so easily.
It is a tool. If you need a tool to help you identify colors that you normally have trouble with, then it is for you.

"These glasses are dependent entirely on how bad your color vision is and what type. Do not expect a magic elixir. I received them today and tested them. I will primarily use them to identify colored strands on network wire. Some colors are clearer and more defined others are not. With these glasses I can identify clearly some wires and then look below them to identify the other wires. They will serve their purpose. I did pass a color blind test with them on but it took a lot longer than a normal vision would have. Without them no way. I rate their helpfulness with me about 90%. So I will keep them. They help me work."
