Description

Original wartime pocket guides from Heinz Denckler-Verlag, Berlin C2 covering the uniforms and insignia of the German Army (Heer) and the Kriegsmarine (Navy). These Denckler booklets were inexpensive recognition guides sold at kiosks in the late-1930s/early-WWII and used by collectors, youth groups and film/theatre costumers.

Both are genuine period printings with the classic Denckler cover art and richly illustrated plates of rank lace, shoulder boards, sleeve/qualification badges and uniforms.

Condition (honest, original)

  • General age toning with light handling wear.

  • Both show light staple staining/rust bleed at the spine; old metal paper-clip impressions with faint stains on the inside covers

  • Heer booklet has s8ngle loose page in the very middle 

  • Kriegsmarine: few small pen marks on two pages within, plus a tear along the spine from the top staple upward; light soiling to covers.

  • Typical kiosk price printed on covers (0,30–0,50 RM).

  • Pages are complete; illustrations are crisp.

A solid, displayable matched pair of original Denckler references—great for uniform collectors, reenactors, researchers and display.
