Historical Background

Luang Por Un Sukkamo was not just a disciple in name—he was a true inheritor of the sacred knowledge and spiritual practices passed down from the renowned Luang Por Thongsuk of Wat Ton Luang.

In his early years of training, Luang Por Un frequently traveled from Wat Tal Kong to Wat Ton Luang, sometimes staying as long as 15 days at a time to deeply study the sacred teachings. His dedication was unwavering, and he would make these journeys regularly to ensure the transmission of true, undiluted knowledge.

He also accompanied Luang Por Thongsuk on numerous retreats, often venturing deep into the mountains to meditate in secluded cemeteries—an austere practice reserved for those with immense mental and spiritual discipline.

In addition, Luang Por Un sought out further spiritual refinement under Luang Por Chan of Wat Marukhathaiyawan, a relative of Luang Por Thongsuk. Luang Por Chan was a master of the ancient Chatri spell—a mystical incantation said to stop wild animals in their tracks. This rare knowledge was passed down to him by a wandering Cambodian monk, and he, in turn, entrusted it to Luang Por Un.

Through rigorous practice and direct transmission from these great masters, Luang Por Un became a genuine spiritual successor in this rare and powerful lineage. His amulets and sacred items are infused with blessings of loving-kindness, invincibility, and protection—true to the original tradition of Luang Por Thongsuk and the ancient Chatri spell.
