Japan Antique Lacquer Hinged Box Bird on Tree Branches Gold Black

Missing key, some scratches and loss of color.  Some of lacquer is chipped off.  Brass has patina.

Hinged box measures 5 3/4 inches wide, 3 3/4 inches long and 2 3/4 inches height.
