This pressed glass pedestal cake stand was made in a three- part mould, with a simple pattern of large oval splits under the plate. The plate slopes slightly into the centre, and the raised rim is scalloped at the edge of each oval split. The stem and foot are six-sided.

The cake stand is 10 cm (4 inches) tall and 23 cm (9 inches) in diameter across the top from edge to edge of the rim. Inside the rim the flat surface is 20 cm (8 inches) in diameter, making it suitable for a cake made in 18 cm (7 inch) or 20 cm (8 inch) cake tins. It weighs 1.29 kilograms before packaging. 

This item is in very good previously owned condition, with no chips, nibbles or cracks, and very light surface wear on the upper surface
