"Veronica Electronica," Madonna's latest remix collection featuring rare remixes of tracks from her 1998 global smash hit album, "Ray of Light," was released on a limited edition 12-inch silver vinyl on July 25, 2025. This long-shrouded collection of remixes ignited a worldwide frenzy, resulting in immediate worldwide sales. Now, in response to worldwide demand for a reissue, the album will be released on CD and limited edition ultra-clear vinyl.
"Veronica Electronica" serves as a companion disc to her smash hit, "Ray of Light," which sold over 16 million copies worldwide and won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Album. The eight-track album was originally intended as a follow-up remix collection by Madonna in 1998. However, the idea ultimately went unrealized and the project was shelved due to the overwhelming momentum of her work, including the global success of her album "Ray of Light" and a string of hit singles that dominated the charts for over a year.
Now, more than 25 years after its initial conception, this long-rumored album is finally coming to fruition. The remix collection features edited versions of club remixes by artists such as Peter Lauhofer, William Orbit, Sasha, BT, and Victor Calderone, as well as the unreleased original demo of "Gone Gone Gone," recorded with Madonna and produced by Rick Nowels. This latest remix collection, including previously unreleased material, is an important work that highlights a pivotal moment in Madonna's unique career.
This Japanese edition includes the newly remastered unedited version of „Skin (Peter & Victor's Collaboration Remix)“ in all its glory as an exclusive bonus track, available on CD format for the very first time.
