Original plein air sketch using pencil looking across the Truro River from Boscawen park towards the shipbuilding yard and other buildings and trees. The size of the paper is 420pm x 292mm and there I have left a white border so that the sketch could be mounted and then framed. The actual size of the sketch on the paper is 395 mm x 268 mm. This is an expressive sketch using a pencil and an erasure to bring back in the highlights. Boscawen Park is situated along Malpas Road in Truro, Cornwall. The park is situated directly next to the River Truro, which runs alongside its western side. Sketched in August 2025 by me, capturing the scene looking across the river capturing the mix of industrial and nautical. A moody expressive sketch of the scene at about 7pm down by the riverside. I also sell on Etsy, hoping that someone would like this original painting of mine. It is being sold as it is just on the paper it was sketched on, so would need framing, would suit being mounted then framed. I have signed the painting with my initials GR.
